SPLOT is a game that picks who pays the bill. It is built to know as little about you as possible. No ads, no tracking, no selling of data. Ever.
What stays on your phone
Your squad names, bills, game results and your Hall of Fate history are saved on your device. If you turn on backup, a copy of that history is stored on our server so you can restore it.
What our server keeps
- A random device ID so the app can talk to the server. It is not linked to your name, phone number or email. For rate limits we keep a one-way scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address, never the address itself.
- Your SPLOT name (for example @jake) if you claim one for Squad Court, and the year you were born, to check you are 18 or older. We never ask for your full birthday.
- Squad Court votes: which option a voter picked and any short note they wrote. Voters are anonymous. To stop spam and allow blocking, we keep a random key from the voter's browser and a one-way scrambled (hashed) form of their IP address. We never store the IP address itself.
- Settle-up entries: names and amounts you add so friends can be reminded. SPLOT never moves money and never sees any bank or card details.
- Fate Replay links contain the names and amounts of that game inside the link itself. Anyone you send the link to can see them. They are not stored on our server.
Where it lives
Our server and database run on Cloudflare. Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS).
Deleting everything
In the app: Settings → Account → Delete my name & data. This permanently deletes your name, courts, votes, settle-up entries and backups from our server right away. Deleting the app removes everything stored on your phone.
Children
Squad Court is for people 18 and older. The rest of SPLOT has no chat and no public profiles.
